Godalming Theatre Group presents its production of Cole Porter’s High Society from 4-9 April 2020 at the Ben Travers Theatre, Godalming.
You’re invited to the wedding of the year and what a swell party it’s going to be!
Cole Porter’s classic, feel-good musical High Society is based on The Philadelphia Story and the 1956 film which starred Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. With an abundance of hugely popular songs including True Love, You’re Sensational, “Well did you Evah?” and the unforgettable Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, this tale of the elite and eccentric Lord family features not one but three suitors jostling for the affections of socialite Tracy. Two reporters from a celebrity magazine arrive looking for a scoop but find nothing and no-one is quite what they seem in this ‘swellegant, elegant’ musical.
