SUMMARY:Godalming Town Guided History Walks - Summer 2026
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]Come along and learn about the town’s fascinating and sometimes surprising history.  We will look at the buildings and landscape for clues about Godalming’s past. \nThere are two walks alternating through the summer; the first looks at the town’s ‘industrial’ past (walk 1) whereas the second looks at the town’s former coaching inns and their role and the High Street and Bridge Street (walk 2). \nOn previous walks\, participants have added some interesting comments about the town’s history\, to the benefit of us all.  The walks are both relatively easy walking on the public footpaths around the town and usually take about 1.5 hours each. \nNo booking is required\, the walks are free\, just turn up at The Pepperpot at 2.30pm. \nThe dates for this year are the following Saturdays: \nSaturday\, 9 May – Walk 1\nSaturday\, 13 June – Walk 2\nSaturday\, 11 July – Walk 1\nSaturday\, 15 August – Walk 2 \nPlease check on the Godalming Trust website for any updates to this programme. \nFor more information about the walks or to arrange a separate group walk\, please use our contact form.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
