Godalming Museum is holding an international exhibition entitle ‘Lumiere, Light, Licht’ from Wednesday, 9 January 2019 to Saturday, 2 March 2019. This is a joint enterprise between Godalming and its twin towns of Mayen in Germany and Joigny in France to mark the centenary of the end of WW1. This is probably the first venture of its kind to arrive in Godalming and is a demonstration of the co-operation and friendship that exists between the three towns.
Godalming Museum is located at 109a High Street, by the Pepperpot. It is open Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 5pm. Admission is free but donations are welcomed. The Local Studies library is open in the afternoon from 1pm to 4pm. Light refreshments are available throughout the day. Children are always welcome. There is a delightful Jekyll style garden at the rear of the museum and an excellent gift shop. Godalming Museum is run in partnership with Godalming Town Council and the Godalming Museum Trust.
