DESCRIPTION:The Godalming Run and takes place on Sunday\, 22 May\, at the Phillips Memorial Park. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this special community event\, and organisers are calling for runners of all ages and abilities to register for a 1k Fun Run\, 5k\, or 10k race online at godalmingrun.co.uk. \nTo find out more or to register\, please visit the Godalming Run website. \nChallenging 5k & 10k races through the countryside and around Godalming in the heart of the Surrey Hills\, including a section through the grounds of Charterhouse public school\, so picture postcard stuff\, plus there is a great 1k Fun Run for the kids. \nThe Godalming run was first established as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012 and to celebrate the London Olympics. Since then\, we have attracted thousands of entrants and have raised over £17\,000 for the Sport Godalming Champions Fund\, Go for Gold\, which supports local Godalming-based athletes in their bid for Olympic stardom. \n£5.00 – 1k Kids Fun Run (all persons participating in this race\, including accompanying adults\, must register) \n£11.00 – 5k Race \n£17.00 – 10k Race \n \nPhoto Courtesy of Phil Kemp

SUMMARY:Music in the Park - Absolute Security Concert
DESCRIPTION:Absolute Security Concert featuring The Heroes Band. \nDifferent bands playing every week\, (Programme).  Please click here for more details of this year’s Music in the Park. \nEvery Sunday afternoon 3-5pm (unless stated otherwise) on The Bandstand in the Phillips Memorial park by the river. \nAll concerts are FREE – why not bring your own garden chairs and a picnic! \nIn the event of very wet weather\, concerts will be held in the nearby Godalming Parish Church. \nVoluntary donations are requested at concerts via collections run by our volunteers to help finance the hire of The Bandstand and additional costs associated with providing concerts. \nAll of the Sunday afternoon Godalming Bandstand concerts will be hosted to follow all relevant COVID-secure guidance for outdoor events.  In attending these events we ask that you adhere to the government regulations and respect the safety of fellow concert-goers. \n
