SUMMARY:Godalming Town Guided History Walks - Summer 2022
DESCRIPTION:Come along and learn about the town’s fascinating and sometimes surprising history.  Looking at the buildings and landscape tells us much about Godalming’s past. \nThere are two walks alternating throughout the summer.  The first looks at the town’s ‘industrial’ past (Walk 1) whereas the second looks at the town’s former coaching inns and their role and High Street and Bridge Street (Walk 2).  Both walks are relatively easy walking on public footpaths around the town and usually take about 1.5 hours each. \nNo booking is required\, the walks are free\, just turn up at The Pepperpot at 2.30pm. \nThe dates for this year are the following Saturdays: \n14 May – Walk 1\n11 June – Walk 2\n9 July – Walk 1\n13 August – Walk 2 \nPlease check the Godalming Trust website for any updates to this programme. \nFor more information please contact the Godalming Trust

SUMMARY:Music in the Park - Big and Brassy Charity Concert
DESCRIPTION:Big and Brassy Charity Concert featuring combined Brass Bands. \nDifferent bands playing every week\, (Programme).  Please click here for more details of this year’s Music in the Park. \nEvery Sunday afternoon 3-5pm (unless stated otherwise) on The Bandstand in the Phillips Memorial park by the river. \nAll concerts are FREE – why not bring your own garden chairs and a picnic! \nIn the event of very wet weather\, concerts will be held in the nearby Godalming Parish Church. \nVoluntary donations are requested at concerts via collections run by our volunteers to help finance the hire of The Bandstand and additional costs associated with providing concerts. \nAll of the Sunday afternoon Godalming Bandstand concerts will be hosted to follow all relevant COVID-secure guidance for outdoor events.  In attending these events we ask that you adhere to the government regulations and respect the safety of fellow concert-goers. \n
