DESCRIPTION:The next Guildford & Waverley Business Question Time event will be hosted by the University of Surrey on Monday 3 June 2024 from 5-7pm. \nThis free event\, aimed at businesses based in Guildford and Waverley\, will be hosted and chaired by Prof. Amelia Hadfield\, Associate Vice President for External Engagement in the Department of Politics at the University of Surrey\, following her brilliant key-note speech at our BQT event in 2022. \nThe key-note speech this year will be given by leading economist Vicky Pryce\, Chief Economic Adviser at the Centre for Economics and Business Research\, who will set the scene on the national and regional economic forecast for local businesses. \nThis will be followed by questions to a panel of business leaders from across many sectors of industry in Waverley and Guildford: \n\nRupert Thompson\, Managing Director\, Hogs Back Brewery\nLiana Fricker\, Founder\, Inspiration Space\nSteve Cuss\, Founder\, The Gameplan Consultancy\nDoug Johnson\, Director\, Mesh Energy\nProf. Sophy Smith\, Director of Games & Creative Technologies\, University for the Creative Arts\nDawn Hudd\, Joint Strategic Director\, Guildford Borough Council & Waverley Borough Council\n\nDon’t miss the chance to be inspired by experts on key business issues – how they are dealing with the cost of living crisis\, energy security\, recruitment\, becoming net zero and other national and local challenges. \nThe panel will explore practical answers and views from their perspectives.
