SUMMARY:Godalming Operatic Society Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:As part of its centenary celebrations Godalming Operatic Society is mounting an exhibition at Godalming Museum from Wednesday\, 13 November to Saturday\, 30 November. \nThe Society was founded in 1924 and its first production was Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard in 1925.  Since its foundation the Society has been at the forefront of the town’s rich musical heritage. \nThe exhibition will feature people who have done much to ensure the Society’s success over the years. Other highlights will include its links with Charterhouse\, the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company and performances at International Festivals. \nThe museum\, located at 109a High St is open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm (please note the Museum is not open to the public on Sundays and Mondays).

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””] \nJOIN US…\nGodalming Town Council is delighted to invite you to kick-start your festive season by taking part in our new Christmas Light Procession on Sunday\, 24 November. \nMeet at Crown Court at 4.30pm wearing your sparkliest Christmas jumpers and carrying your Christmas lanterns (no naked flames).  The Mayor of Godalming will host a dedication service at the Memory Tree\, Crown Court at 4.30pm.  Bring your tags in memory of your loved ones to hang on the tree. \nTAKE PART IN THE PROCESSION\nJoin with the Godalming Band\, Rock Choir\, Godalming Theatre Group Panto stars\, Godalming School of Dance\, Milford & Brook School of Dance and the Ice Prince and Princess to follow the Round Table’s illuminated Santa’s Sleigh.  Watch the town’s Christmas lights illuminate as the procession makes it way from Crown Court to Church Street. \nThe Band and the Rock Choir will lead the Christmas singing in Church Street\, after which residents are warmly invited to join in a short carol service in the Minster Church of St Peter & St Paul. \nThe Christmas Festival Market will take place on Saturday\, 30 November. \nFull details on Godalming’s Christmas Lights Switch-on and Festival Market are available here. \n  \n  \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
