DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]In Memoriam: love is strong as death \nGodalming Choral Society’s next exciting concert marks 80 years since VE day.  The Godalming Choral Society presents a moving musical tribute marking 80 years since VE Day\, honouring the courage and sacrifice of WWII veterans—many now centenarians—and remembering those who have passed. \nThe concert is being held on Saturday\, 29 November at 7.30pm\, at St John’s Church Farncombe GU7 3EJ and will feature a blend of reflective\, grateful\, and uplifting music\, including: \n\nChoruses from Duruflé’s Requiem and Brahms’ German Requiem\nFilm music by John Williams (Saving Private Ryan\, Schindler’s List)\nElgar’s Nimrod for cello and piano\nUpon Your Heart by Canadian composer Eleanor Daley\n\nA heartfelt evening of remembrance and celebration—don’t miss it. \nTickets are £20 per person (free to the under 18’s) available from Record Corner\, Pound Lane\, Godalming (Cash only)\, from the Godalming Choral Society’s website\, by emailing ti*****@*****************rg.uk or on the door. \nFor further information please e-mail se*******@***********rg.uk or visit the Godalming Choral Society’s website. \n  \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
