SUMMARY:The Meath Gala Opera
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]One of the Mayor of Godalming’s nominated charities\, The Meath Epilepsy Charity\, is holding a Gala Opera event at The Grange Festival\, Hampshire on Sunday\, 15 June 2025 starting at 4.00pm (Doors open at 2.00pm).  Monies raised at this event are in aid of The Meath Epilepsy Charity which is based in Godalming. \nEnjoy a not-to-be-missed star-studded Night of Opera. \nThe grounds will open at 2.00pm where you can enjoy your picnic before the event. \nThe concert starts at 4.00pm and will conclude at 7.00pm (with a 30 minute interval\, there is no interval dinner). \nIf you require a wheelchair place please contact The Meath via fundraising@meath.org.uk to arrange this. \nThe event will feature: \nLouise Alder\nGerald Finley OC CBE\nDavid Junghoon Kim\nSally Matthews\nAlexandra Oomens\nHuw Montague Rendall\nChristine Rice MBE\nNatalya Romaniw\nNicky Spence OBE\nCatherine Wyn-Rogers\nBrindley Sherratt \nAccompanists: \nJulius Drake\nMatthew Fletcher \nHost: \nChris Addison \nPlease use this link to book tickets. \nTickets are from £45.  VIP tickets available. \nAll the performers are donating their services\, and the proceeds from the concert will go to The Meath Epilepsy Charity (registered in England and Wales No. 200359). \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Community Epilepsy Coffee Morning
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]The Meath is holding a free community epilepsy coffee morning on Saturday\, 22 March 2025 at The Hive Café\, onsite at The Meath at 10.00am to 12.00 Noon.  The event is free\, but attendees will need to pre book due to The Meath’s adult safeguarding requirements. \nThis coffee morning is an opportunity for members of the local community whose lives are affected by epilepsy to access some peer to peer support and the morning will be facilitated by Meath Epilepsy Nurse Lisa O’Brien who will be on hand to knowledge share\, signpost and will be bring along some useful recourses.  Living with epilepsy can be confusing\, tiring and sadly at times scary\, we are proud to support those in our care at The Meath\, but are also extremely proud to be a part of the wider community and are pleased to welcome any members of our local community who may benefit from the coffee morning. \nTo register your free place please visit the Community Epilepsy Coffee Morning \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
