Collapsed Drain – Upper High Street, Godalming
Due to Thames Water having to undertake some emergency work because of a collapsed drain, the High Street is closed to traffic between The Pepperpot and Station Road (Richmond Arms).
Buses are only picking up and setting down outside the old Halfords shop. Buses heading towards the Milford direction can be picked up on Flambards Way by Homebase.
Vehicles heading along the High Street are diverted down Church Street. There is no entry to Church Street from the Church end of the road.
The work could not be postponed any longer and whilst there will be some inconvenience its hoped that the roadway will be opened as soon as possible.
The Town Council will update with additional information when it is received.
