Godalming Operatic Society Exhibition
As part of its centenary celebrations Godalming Operatic Society is mounting an exhibition at Godalming Museum from Wednesday, 13 November to Saturday, 30 November.
The Society was founded in 1924 and its first production was Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard in 1925. Since its foundation the Society has been at the forefront of the town’s rich musical heritage.
The exhibition will feature people who have done much to ensure the Society’s success over the years. Other highlights will include its links with Charterhouse, the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company and performances at International Festivals.
The museum, located at 109a High St is open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm (please note the Museum is not open to the public on Sundays and Mondays).
