Would you like to make a difference to your area or improve the lives of local people?  Would you like to represent your community?

Borough Elections are being held in May 2019.  If you live or work in Waverley are are over 18, you have an exciting opportunity to stand as a borough councillor for Waverley Borough Council or as a councillor for a town or parish council.

Waverley Borough Council is holding an exciting event for Prospective Councillors on Monday, 10 September between 5pm – 8.pm at the Waverley Borough Council offices in Godalming (The Burys, Godalming, GU7 1HR).

The event is for anyone to find out more about becoming a councillor and what it will entail.  There will be a number of stalls where people can chat with officers from a number of different areas of the borough council, from Housing to Planning and Community Services to Recycling and Car Parks, hear from town and parish councils and existing councillors what it’s like to represent your community.
