REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 2022 - ROAD CLOSURES

ROAD CLOSURES IN PLACE FOR THIS YEAR’S REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

In order to safely organise Godalming’s Remembrance Sunday Parade, which is taking place on Sunday, 13 November 2022 the following road closures will be in place:

  • The Burys (as far as the Council Offices car park), Bridge Street, High Street, Church Street and connecting roads Mint Street, Cow Lane, Moss Lane, Great George Street, Queen Street, and Wharf Street, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic, including pedal cycles, between the hours of 08.50am and 09.30am, except for such traffic as is directed by a duly authorised police constable or officer.
  • Church Street, from its junction with Mint Street to its junction with Station Road, Station Road from its junction with Borough Road to its Junction with Westbrook Road, Borough Road from its junction with Chalk Road to its junction with Station Road from 10.15 to 12.00
  • Church Street from its Junction with Mint Street, High Street from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Station Road, Great George Street, The Burys (as far as the Council Offices car park, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic, including pedal cycles, between the hours of 11.00 am and 12.00pm, except for such traffic as is directed by a duly authorised police constable or officer.
  • Access for emergency vehicles shall be retained at all times.
  • There shall be no alternative route for traffic, which will be directed by a duly authorised police constable or officer.
