GODALMING YOUTH SERVICE

Godalming Youth Service, a dynamic initiative by Godalming Town Council, ignites young people’s potential by providing youth work programmes. Available to young people of secondary age in Godalming and surrounding villages, we focus on your interests and well-being, empowering you to develop the skills and confidence to thrive, not just survive.

Focusing on young people’s interests and well-being, our programmes empower them to develop skills and confidence. We make use of the Youth Work Curriculum, providing a diverse and fun social education programme.

Participation is entirely voluntary, ensuring a safe space for young people to explore their interests and develop at their own pace. Opportunities are also free of charge to ensure that no young person is left out. You can register and find out about current opportunities here: www.godalmingyouth.uk

YOUTH WORK SERVICES

Broadwater Youth Centre: This dedicated space at Broadwater Park offers free, accessible after-school programmes that are shaped by young people’s interests and responsive to their needs. It’s a safe space to explore, connect, and grow at your own pace.

The centre is open every day during term-time, and the current programme is available here: www.godalmingyouth.uk

Mobile Youth Service: Recognising geographical limitations, the Mobile Youth Service brings the youth centre experience directly to young people in outlying areas. This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

It’s a pop-up centre for fun, connection, and exploration, reflecting the core principle of accessibility in youth work. Participation in our mobile service is also free and voluntary, and the current programme is available here: www.godalmingyouth.uk

Holiday Activity Programmes:

During school holidays, the Youth Service provides a variety of exciting programmes, incorporating personal and social development. We aim to announce our holiday programmes two weeks ahead of each term ending. Our provision during holidays comes under two categories: open-access and Club4 programmes.

Our open-access sessions sometimes require a sign-up form to be completed at www.godalmingyouth.uk. Please note that for closed events, if we do not receive an application form and specifically e-mail and/or phone you to confirm that you have a place, your child may be refused entry.

The Club4 activities that we provide in partnership with Active Surrey require an eVoucher. You can find out more about Club4 and how to access eVouchers here: https://www.activesurrey.com/community/club4

Support Godalming Youth Service

Godalming Youth Service thrives on the incredible support of the community. Here’s how you can contribute:

Donations: Every bit counts! Financial or equipment donations (think board games, art supplies!) help us expand our programmes and promote sustainability by promoting reusage of goods. If you would like to support our work, consider buying an item from our wish list

Volunteer: Share your skills and make a real impact! We welcome individuals from all backgrounds to help with activities, offer technical expertise, or assist in marketing. Your support empowers young people to build confidence and navigate the path to adulthood. You can apply to be a volunteer at www.godalmingyouth.uk
