Godalming Town Council runs various events throughout the year including seasonal festivals and Staycation Week. It also works in conjunction with several town community groups to facilitate other events.

SPRING FESTIVAL
The Spring Festival takes place on the first Saturday in April in Godalming attracting visitors and local residents alike.
Fun filled, spring themed activities for children take place in Crown Court and live music and entertainment can be found at the iconic Pepperpot. A wide variety of street food and drink can be enjoyed in the town centre along with a delightful array of home produced goods from local Farmer’s market producers.
Stroll around the unique and picturesque high street and enjoy a warm welcome from the local shops and hostelries. Traditional performances by local Morris Dancers and a hog roast add to the quintessential atmosphere making the Spring Festival a popular event for the whole family to enjoy.

MUSIC IN THE PARK
Concerts organised by Go Godalming’s Music in the Park are held every Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm to 5.00pm from May through to September each year on the Bandstand in the Phillips Memorial Park by the river.
All concerts are free.
In the event of very wet weather, concerts will be held in the nearby Godalming Parish Church.
GODALMING FOOD FESTIVAL
The Godalming Food Festival is an annual event taking place on the first Sunday in July.
The Festival was started in 2010 by the Godalming & District Chamber of Commerce and is supported by Godalming Town Council. A vibrant festival and market encompassing a variety of global food & drink stalls is located in the High Street, Church Street and Crown Court.
Food demonstrations are run by local chefs and tastings are available. Farmers’ Market producers exhibit their home grown produce and there is usually a traditional Hog Roast.
A full programme of live music from local musicians, bands and choirs takes place at the Pepperpot throughout the day.
Crown Court hosts a range of activities for Children. Punch and Judy shows, traditional Morris Dancing and other street entertainment are to be found around the town centre whilst the town’s unique shops and hostelries are open to welcome visitors.

GREEN GALA

THE BURY'S FIELD, GODALMING - FREE ENTRY
Godalming Town Council is delighted to invite you to the Godalming Green Gala, an event all about living sustainably and protecting the environment.
Come along to The Bury’s Field, have some fun, sample delicious food and enjoy the entertainment. Find out how local people are helping to make a difference to our environment and how you, too, can take some easy steps to make a positive change.

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
‘Godalming’s Christmas Festival and Lights Switch-on is an annual event and takes place on the last Saturday in November.
The Festival opens at 10.00am with many festive stalls, Santa’s Grotto and entertainers at The Pepperpot which run throughout the day.
The lights switch on at 5.00pm is the glittering highlight of the day when the town is lit up with thousands of tiny lights that line the High Street and other main streets in the town.
The Festival ends with a carols sing-a-long accompanied by the Godalming Band to kick off the festive season in style

FARMERS' MARKETS
Farmers’ Markets are held on Godalming High Street between 10am and 4pm on the last Saturday of each month from March to October inclusive.
