CHRISTMAS IN GODALMING & FARNCOMBE - 2026

Godalming Town Council is delighted to invite you to kickstart your festive season by taking part in our Christmas Lights Switch-on taking place on Sunday 22 November at the Pepperpot.  Enjoy live performances from Godalming, Guildford and Farncombe Jazz Choir, Godalming Rock Choir, Godalming Band and a special performance from Godalming Theatre Groups Panto Stars who will perform songs from their production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

The Round Table’s illuminated Santa’s sleigh will also be in town. Godalming Town Mayor, Cllr Tom Kiehl, Santa and the Panto Stars will join BBC Radio Surrey’s Mark Carter on stage for the all-important count down to the Christmas Lights Switch-on at 5.00pm.  Please join us after for some festive singing to keep the Christmas Spirit going!

Godalming Rock Choir Concert in aid of the Shooting Star Hospice. Godalming Minster Church will be open between 4.00pm and 6.00pm for Christmas Crafts, light refreshments and a contemporary evening service.

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL MARKET – SATURDAY, 28 NOVEMBER

Godalming Town Council invites you to visit Godalming and enjoy this year’s Christmas Festival Market on Saturday, 28 November from 10am to 4.30pm.  Visit the FREE Santa’s Grotto (gift included).

Spend the day in one of the prettiest towns in Surrey where you’ll find lots of stalls for all your Christmas present ideas in the High Street and Church Street.  Buy a handcrafted gift, jewellery or decorations from a local producer and sample yummy foodie treats.

The festival is free to enter so browse around the town and soak up the festive atmosphere.  Enjoy delicious artisan street food and drink as you also visit the superb range of independent shops who will be set to welcome you.

There will also be live entertainment with festive music and performances for our Christmas Festival Market which will include a myriad selection of stalls for you to purchase Christmas gifts.
