It is with regret that following the Coronavirus legislation, the Godalming Spring Festival 2020 has been cancelled.  We will keep other town events under review and post updates as the situation develops.

Spring Festival

Godalming Town Council invites you to spring into Godalming on Saturday, 4 April, 2020 10.00am-4.00pm.

Celebrate the new season with a great day out in one of Surrey’s prettiest towns!  Stroll amongst the many stalls in the town centre, enjoy an array of mouth-watering artisan street food/drink, local producers’ stalls and of course, a traditional hog roast. Talented local musicians will be performing throughout the day at The Pepperpot.  Kiddies’ Corner plays host to children’s rides as well as free Punch & Judy Shows with Professor Joe Burns.  For the grown-ups the award-winning Star Public House located in Church Street is holding a Cider Festival and Church Street will also play host to an Artist Makers’ Market.

Godalming has long been the home of many prestigious Arts & Crafts Designers such as George and Mary Watts, Gertrude Jekyll and Sir Edwin Lutyens.  In celebration of this rich heritage, local artist and teacher, Gina McAdam has curated an Artist Makers’ Market where you can discover local independent retailers and artists who will be coming together in picturesque Church Street. There you’ll find handmade items by creative craftspeople as well as the chance to try out a new skill such as pottery, weaving, printmaking and sewing.  Of course no Spring Festival would be complete without our local Morris Dancers adding to the quintessentially Godalming atmosphere.

Thank you to our sponsors Charterhouse Club and Seymours.

There’s plenty for everyone to enjoy and we look forward to seeing you there!
