GODALMING JOINT BURIAL COMMITTEE
ABOUT GODALMING TOWN COUNCIL’S CEMETERIES
The Godalming Joint Burial Committee was rescinded on 31 March 2023 and its operations transferred to Godalming Town Council on the 1 April 2023. The Godalming Joint Burial Committee’s financial information will remain available for 7 years as required by current legislation.
BUDGETS, PAYMENTS & OTHER FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Each year in November Godalming Joint Burial Committee sets a budget the net amount of which is recharged to each of the two constituent authorities pro rata to their tax bases, that is pro rata to the number of Council Tax Band D equivalent properties in each authority area (the Band D equivalent figures are published by Waverley Borough Council each December). The papers used to set that budget are available to download here as are the final accounts after the end of the financial year. Also available are details of payments made by the Committee. The Committee’s Financial Year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
