REMEMBRANCE IN GODALMING
Remembrance Sunday 2024 is on Sunday, 10 November and is one of the most important events in the Civic year organised by Godalming Town Council. A Service & Act of Remembrance will be held at the War Memorial in the Phillips Memorial Ground. Invitees will include representatives from the town’s civic and political leaders, faith groups and other community organisations who will be invited to take part in the laying of wreaths.

10.20 | Community Representatives & Groups Assemble at War Memorial |
10.30 | Mayor's Civic Party, Union Flag and Clergy process from The Octagon to the War Memorial |
10.40 | Service of Remembrance & Act of Remembrance commences |
11.00 | Two Minute Silence & Tolling of Bell |
On completion | Clergy retire from War Memorial followed by Mayor, Councillors and civic representatives who will assemble at the saluting dais |
On completion | Parade to form up behind Godalming Band |
On completion | Parade March Off |
11.45 approx. | Dispersal - Crown Court |
If you have served in His Majesty’s forces, we would be delighted to see you take part in the Remembrance Parade on 10 November. Medals to be worn. If you would like to parade on behalf of a relative who has served, please join the parade; medals to be worn on the right-hand breast pocket.
