Godalming Town Council’s Godalming Green Gala is an event all about living sustainably and protecting the environment and takes place on The Bury’s Field.

Children’s Activities all day – Meet the folks from Wild Learning who will be running free activities for children, come and make dream catchers/God’s Eyes/Boggerts (clay heads on sticks)/leaf printing using wood, recycled wool and old sheets.
Meet the Author – Tina Talbot from Wildlife Whimsies Publishing writes fun eco stories for children aged 4-9 years. Tina will be introducing her 6 books in the Survival Super Squad series and will be signing books too.
Resident facepainter Leena will be on hand with her artistic creations.

Join the team from What Next who will be bringing their vibrant, friendly, solar-powered lounge to the Gala. They are inviting people to come and chat about their climate concerns. Find out about the Library of Things (based in Godalming Library) and children can enjoy:

Guildford & Waverley Green Party will be bringing herbs, plants and flowers in upcycled containers.
The Extinction Rebellion team will be running a free printing workshop doing block animal prints, birds and insects onto fabric remnants/t-shirts.
The Farncombe Community Garden will be running a plant sale to help fundraise for the community garden.
Elstree Soaps is a small, independent business that offers beautiful, vegan, palm oil free and environmentally-friendly bath products handcrafted in small batches in Hertfordshire.
Find out about Hills to Harbour part of the East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership (sustainable travel) for Farncombe, Godalming, Milford, Witley and Haslemere, the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the South Downs National Park – connecting communities to the railway.
Citizens’ Advice SW Surrey will be giving energy-saving advice, thermometers and radiator keys to be given away.
Come and meet Farncombe & District Allotment Association (F&DAA) members, who will be happy to share their allotment experiences on how to grow your own vegetables and flowers.
Guildford Seedbank will be telling you how you can save and plant seeds and take part in seed swap events in SW Surrey. They will be offering information and advice on the preservation of heritage and heirloom varieties in the Guildford and Godalming areas.
Godalming Baha’is will be showing an exhibition based on a recent UN statement ‘For the Betterment of the World’ plus Baha’i inspired charity information including the international Tree Foundation.
Meet Lucy from INZHO who will be on site with aromatherapy home fragrance and body care products inspired by animals and their representations.
MagnifiScent UK Ltd will be selling eco-vegan friendly candles, wax melts, room sprays, bath products and sls free sensitive dog shampoo.
See the Godalming Bahai’s exhibition based on a recent UN statement for the betterment of the World.
Offshore Designs return with their hand-made jewellery, carefully crafted unique pieces using ethically sourced products such as sea glass or pre-loved items.

Greeting you on arrival will be the unmistakable sound of the Rebel Rhythms Band, a European samba-fusion protest bandm, which lends some carnival-inspired excitement to actions and local events.
There will be vegan and veggie food to purchase including vegan bakery, zero waste deli products from the Godalming Food Company. Ollo Foods will be bringing a variety of delicious Indian street food (95% Vegan), Barry & Jo Jo’s will be serving vegan Bratwurst, vegan and veggie burgers, Godalming Delights will be bringing a cooling selection of vegan ice-creams, lollies, sweets and treats and vegan doggie ice-cream. Alpher Coffee will be providing savoury and sweet veggie delights and drinks. Fencliffes Churros will be serving their vegan churros and sauces.
