YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER – GODALMING

£10.64-£11.13 per hour (including London Fringe)

Godalming’s new youth centre at Broadwater Park is looking for energetic, creative and motivated individuals to join us and make a difference to the lives of young people.

The role of Youth Support Worker is to support youth work that meets the needs of young people aged 11-18 (up to 25 for those with an additional Special Educational and Disability Need (SEND)). Youth Workers help young people develop new skills, self-esteem and make a safe journey through adolescence.

We want to offer the best possible opportunities for young people. We believe in investing in our Youth Support Workers’ professional development. We will support new starters to complete the Level Two Certificate in Youth Work by covering fees and providing training.

The youth centre will be open term-time Monday-Friday with sessions between 3:00pm-9:00pm. Are you available to work during any of these times?  We are asking applicants to indicate their availability by completing an Availability Pro Forma so we can match them to vacancies.

The role of the Youth Support Worker in Charge is to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work that meets the needs of young people aged 11-18 (up to 25 for those with an additional Special Educational and Disability Need (SEND)). As the Worker-in-Charge, you will take responsibility for youth work programmes that impart new skills, develop self-esteem and supports a safe journey through adolescence.

We want to offer the best possible opportunities for young people. We believe in investing in our Youth Support Workers’ professional development. We will support new starters to complete the Level Three Diploma in Youth Work by covering fees and providing training.
