Godalming & Farncombe Neighbourhood Plan - Our Town, Our Future

GODALMING TOWN COUNCIL PROGRAMME 2019-2023

Following the positive referendum result on 9 July 2019, Waverley Borough Council has decided to make the Godalming and Farncombe Neighbourhood Plan 2017-2032. The statement from Waverley Borough Council setting out the reasons for making the decision can be found on Waverley Borough Council’s website.

The Godalming and Farncombe Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed using the links below, (to enable uploading to this website, the Neighbourhood Plan has been split into two parts)

Part 1: Chapter 1-6 (Introduction, Local Context, Vision & Objectives, Housing, Economy, Heritage & Design)

Part 2: Chapter 7-10 (Transport & Movement, Environment, Community & Infrastructure, Non-Land Use Issues, Policy Maps, Glossary, Appendix)

The Neighbourhood Plan focuses on matters that have been identified as important by the local community. The Neighbourhood Plan seeks to deliver the expressed priorities of Godalming and Farncombe and will provide a basis for dealing with planning applications in the Godalming and Farncombe area over the next decade or so.

The Neighbourhood Plan sets out policies to create a ‘balanced community‘. One of its principal aims is to accommodate growth and housing need which strikes a balance between much needed housing and the need to protect all the aspects and character of our neighbourhood that makes Godalming and Farncombe so special.
